A DOQQ ( Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quad) is a map that uses aerial photography to show a square of the Earth. This map shows the area that houses the University of Notre Damn and the great TOUCHDOWN JESUS.

A DEM ( Digital Elevation Map) shows different elevations by shading, turning a 2D surface into a 3D looking surface. This map is of an area that is used for search and rescue outside Phoenix.

DLG

A DLG (Digital Line Graph) shows the features of the Earth in a more precise measure than a DRG. This map was created by the USGS to show Lake Tahoe.

A DRG (Digital Raster Graph) are used by the USGS to create topographic maps. This map is a topographic map that is showing landmarks, elevation and rivers.

Isopleths are meteorological maps that show some weather pattern. This map shows the pH levels of the United States.

Isotachs show the wind speeds on the Earth. This Isoptach is of a wind speed pattern of the Eastern United States and some of the Atlantic Ocean.

An Isobar show the pressure on the Earth. In this image we see a low pressure system in the Great Lakes of Michigan. The increasing pressure regions are away from it.

LIDAR

A LIDAR uses soudwaves to bounce off a lower surface and return to the sensor so they can tell the depth and elevation of the land. This map is of the Manhattan area skyline after the World Trade Center bombing.

Droppler rader

A doppler radar shows the weather pattern of a certain geographic area. This radar is showing a hurricane hitting a majority part of the state of Florida.

This is a flow map it shows the movement of certain things across space. This Flow map shows the flows of goods, people, diseases, and the like between cities and countries in Europe

Isolines are lines on maps that connect areas of like values. This map has lines that connect geographic data and use kriging to generalize the other areas.

Proportional Circle Map

 This is a Proportional Circle Map. circles are used to display the data, in this map the larger the circle the larger the Mexican population.

Choropleth Map

This is a Choropleth map because it is a map that clearly displays some data.  This map shows literacy rates in areas of Pakistan that border Afghanistan.
